Free QR code generator
Unlimited QR codes with custom colours and your logo. No account, no watermark, no expiry — generated right in your browser.
Error correction is forced to High with a logo so the code still scans.
Want to know who scanned it?
A static QR code like the one above can't report back — it points straight at your URL. If you need to know how many people scanned, from which city, on what device, or you want to change the destination after printing, create a free short link first and generate its QR code from your dashboard. Same generator, plus full scan analytics.
Tips for QR codes that actually scan
Keep the quiet zone
Leave clear space around the code. Busy backgrounds and tight crops are the number one cause of failed scans.
Dark on light
Dark foreground on a light background scans most reliably. Inverted codes fail on some older camera apps.
Mind the size
2cm × 2cm minimum for arm's-length scanning. For a poster read from 3 metres, aim for at least 30cm.
Test before printing
Always test with both an iPhone and an Android camera before sending anything to print.
Shorter URL, simpler code
Long URLs create dense codes that are harder to scan. A short link keeps the pattern clean.
Use SVG for print
Vector stays crisp at any size. A low-resolution PNG blown up to poster size will not scan.
Frequently asked questions
Is this QR code generator really free? +
Yes — unlimited codes, no account, no watermark, and no expiry. Most 'free' QR tools quietly disable your codes after a trial period. These are static QR codes generated in your browser; once you download one it works forever.
Do these QR codes expire? +
Never. The QR code encodes your URL directly, so it keeps working as long as the destination does. Nothing routes through us.
Can I add my logo? +
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPEG or SVG and it's placed in the centre. Error correction is automatically raised to High so the code still scans reliably with the middle covered.
PNG or SVG — which should I use? +
Use SVG for anything printed (posters, packaging, business cards) because it stays sharp at any size. Use PNG for screens, slides and social posts.
Can I track how many people scan it? +
Not with a static code like this. If you need scan analytics — location, device, time — create a free LinkForge short link first and generate its QR code from your dashboard. Then you can also change the destination later without reprinting.
Is my data sent to your servers? +
No. The code is generated entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your URL and logo never leave your device.
