How do I create a custom back-half? +
When creating a link, fill the 'Custom back-half' field (e.g. summer-sale). Custom back-halves require a free account and must be unique.
Can I change where a link points? +
Yes — open the link → Edit → change the destination URL. The short URL stays the same; history is preserved.
What's a one-time link? +
Set 'Max clicks' to 1. After the first click, visitors see an expiry page.
I deleted a link by mistake. +
Deletes are soft for 30 days. Contact support via this page to restore, or check the Archived view if you archived instead.

Why do my clicks differ from another tool's? +
LinkForge filters bot and preview-crawler traffic (WhatsApp, Slack, Twitter unfurlers) out of your headline numbers. Raw bot counts are shown separately.
What counts as a unique visitor? +
The first click on a link from a given (salted, hashed) IP. We never store raw IP addresses.
Where does location data come from? +
Edge headers from our CDN — country, region, and city — with no third-party trackers on the visitor.
QR codes
Are QR scans tracked? +
Yes — scans carry a qr tag so you can compare scans vs. clicks per link.
Can I re-print without breaking the code? +
The QR encodes your short link, so you can change the destination without reprinting.
Account & API
How do I enable 2FA? +
Settings → Security → Enable 2FA, then scan the QR with any authenticator app.
Where do I get an API key? +
Settings → API keys → Create. Use it as a Bearer token — full reference at /docs/api.
How do I connect a custom domain? +
Settings → Domains → add go.yourbrand.com, create the TXT record we show, click Check verification, then point a CNAME at the app.
